Veterinary medicine for exotic pets is growing as the popularity of these animals increases. With better public education about health, nutrition, and enviromental management, all species have a greater chance for living longer and healthier lives. We have years of experience in the treatment of snakes, turtles, iguanas, leopard geckos, bearded dragons, as well as rats, rabbits, guinea pigs, prairie dogs, etc….. We also offer limited avian services, too.

Harbor City Animal Hospital provides hospitalization for pets following surgery and for pets that are too ill to be cared for at home. Every patient that is hospitalized at Harbor City Animal Hospital during an illness receives a daily physical exam by the doctor to assess response to treatment and closely monitor for new developments. Pets that are very ill are transferred to a nearby 24-hour critical care facility for intensive overnight care if needed.

Pet Dentistry

Dental disease is a common problem for pets, too. If left untreated, dental disease leads to bad breath, discomfort, tooth loss, and can lead to other serious medical conditions. Pets cannot brush their own teeth, so they rely on us to keep their teeth healthy and clean. The staff of Harbor CIty Animal Hospital can help extend the life of your pet’s smile! When your pet is sick and comes into our clinic, a complete physical exam is performed. Even though you may have only noticed a red, itchy ear, it is important to take a thorough look at your pet to be sure we uncover the root of the problem.
